Allison actually did it. She managed to convince Madena to go out and see the world. She was terrified to say the least, for her entire life she's lived in the fort. Watching over it, making it her home and defending it from dozens of people all wanting to kill her for one reason or another over the past 10 years. She's always wanted to see the outside world, the provinces with their beautiful countrysides, that far-off country with vast deserts and sunlight that bakes the sand and stone hot enough to cook an egg on. That sounded lovely to her. The thought of being able to simple spread out on a rock and let the sunlight bake her all day simply sounded delightful. Much better than this cold imperial weather. But she figured she would leave the best for last, hence her reason for heading off to the provinces.
Her lower body was in the shape of a snake, but her upper body was still human. It was much easier to travel long distances like this than with legs, she had come to find. Unlike her usual tendency, she was actually clothed for once. She hated it, especially when she can cover herself with her scales, but it might not be that decent to have her first meeting with a stranger be 'naked'. She wore a simple cloth shirt and jacket to keep her somewhat warm while her lower body had a long skirt to cover her. With her legs it would reach past her knees...but with her snake body it was utterly useless. It must probably look somewhat comedic for a snake to be wearing a skirt. The thought made her chuckle a bit. Around her 'hip' was a belt holding both her gladius as well as a quiver full of arrows. On her back was her longbow and a backpack with all the trinkets and valuables she collected over the years from her attackers. Most of it was useless to her, but she might be able to sell it. She had never needed money before but it sounds like it's quite important in the world. Finally she had a cloak to cover herself up as well. More to cover the snakes on her head but it helped in the evenings as well.
She sailed through the forest, the trees thick but still allowing her to look up and see the odd bird flying overhead. After travelling for most of the day she decided to stop in a bit of a clearing to rest. She set her belongings down, drank a bit of water from a skin and pulled out the old map she found in the archives. It was only from 300 or so years ago...how much could have changed since then? She decided on a town called Noria. According to records and the map it was an aspiring fishing town steadily growing. Sounded like a nice place to stop.
She put the map away and coiled herself up, 'sitting' on her serpent body and catching her breath. She angled her head up and her forked tongue flicked out every few seconds to taste the air. The snakes on her head helped as extra pairs of eyes to alert her of anything behind her. Satisfied that she was all alone she laid back on her body with her hands behind her head, looking up into the beautiful blue sky and enjoying the sunlight shining down on her.
