Creed’s Abode, the lone place for travelers to rest their weary bodies and find a meal for coin or services within this community. It was a place bordering between a large village and a small town, The houses made of wood with most of the roofs of thatch with the Abode being one of the few with a more proper roofing. Even still, it was not like the taverns or inns one would expect in larger towns. It was a large house, whose main bottom floor had been converted into one to take advantage of the greater travelers in recent times.

The living room housed only a handful of chairs, with a lone table nearby the gently glowing fireplace. A comfortable, homey establishment; the charming sensation of being in a house rather than tavern. Outside the sun was shining gently overhead, meandering it’s way downward while children played their games in the amenable weather; a blessing after several days of rain and chill; a curse upon those who had to clean up after the muddied bodies roving about..

Inside of Creed’s Abode itself was a sparse scene for most taverns, a lone customer sitting before the fireplace. Lounging within the largest armchair in the building, warm emerald eyes staring into the flickering flames while a massive hand held a steaming cup of tea. His beard neatly groomed, massive frame clad in well made cotton of black with jade green embroidery in the design of dancing vines and leaves. At the side of the chair a hand-and a half sword rested against it, as the only sound filling the room was of children's faint laughter from outside along with the crackling of burning coals.

It was a quiet village, for the most part. Kaya had spent most of a day here and had found few to speak to. She knew her demeanor and attire denoted her an outsider to all, and that made folks tend to shy away from her. The sword sheathed at her belt and large hat hiding most of her face did not help, and even though the hat covered her ears and eyes, her tail always had a way of drawing looks. She would have liked to hide it as well, but not letting it move freely tended to upset her balance. It wasn't that she was ashamed of it or her ears and eyes for that matter, but that they usually drew the wrong kind of attention.

She had come finally to find herself in an inn, if it could be called that. Her head lifted a moment so that her eyes could take in everything within, before her chin dropped right back down to keep most of her face shaded from sight. She stepped up to the proprietor, offering a brief exchange of pleasantries before she asked for a pot of tea. The kind did not matter so much, there was seldom such a thing as bad tea. Even this far from her homeland it was grown, and though there were regional differences it all boiled down to hot, flavorful water. A nice break from the cold, it was, even when it was not all that cold.

She stood waiting for the kettle of water to be boiled over a fire, always the longest part of ordering tea. It was not easy to have water be constantly kept boiling, as you would constantly have to go fetch more water. Kaya's form was impassive, though her hand rested at her belt near the hilt of her katana. She was not any more wary than usual, but she was usually wary. When travelling alone you had to be, or people would try to take advantage of you, in her experience.

No thoughts of any note filled Aideonous’s mind as he relaxed before the fireplace, eyes staring into the dancing flames while his hands held the warm cup of tea. What thoughts there were, was of such minior significance that even the merest of distractions would render them lost forever. It was peaceful, cozy…. To lounge beside a fireplace, while Lillian played with children her own age outside. The kind of life he could see himself enjoying, should he ever be blessed with settling down upon the mountain side as he wished.

It could have been over an hour, or barely a few minutes and he couldn’t tell. But when the sounds of conversation finally reached his ears Aideonous was finally broken from the peaceful spell placed upon him. Gems of emerald green glanced over, lingering upon the forms speaking just at the entrance. It was the owner, a man within his mid forties, and a newcomer… A foreigner based upon her attire. His brow furrowed in thoughtful consideration as his eyes took in the sight.

Her graceful beauty, hidden beneath the clothes, was not what drew his attention. It was the large hat and style she possessed, the blade upon her side…. It was something that he hadn’t seen for nearing three decades… Konzu. Wih the owner’s departure for a request of tea Aidoneous’s hand rose up, gesturing towards the foreigner with a friendly smile upon his face.

“Blessings of thy ancestors upon you, and all your kin. May your blade know peace between these walls and wandering feet find rest before the flames.” He spoke in a deep, rumbling tone; greeting her as best as he’d remember from his time in Konzu so long ago… Thirty years, give or take, was rough upon one’s mind. But he hoped the greeting’s respect held enough to not be deemed insulting, if it was not accurate. .” Please, forgive the owner and people should any of our customs be viewed as disgraceful or insulting. They have rarely traveled beyond their own lands, and it has been many years since I was last graced with your homeland. Your journey must have been long, to carry you so far from the resting place of those who watch over you. Please, sit and enjoy their tea. It may not be as lovely upon the tongue as your own and poems are, however they do what they can with what they have.”

Having been content to stand and wait for her tea, Kaya was surprised to hear some one speaking loudly in her direction. A glance toward the man oted the hand raised in greeting, ensuring that he was speaking to her. Another barbarian presuming he knew her culture, by the sound of it. Perhaps it was a bit of a boon that he was making an effort, even apologising for the other barbarians of these parts. That was an apology that was needed, but on more of an individual basis.

She studied the man for a few moments, then looked down towards the sword that was placed against the chair. She looked away again before speaking, her tail giving a swish behind herself. Her form grew more rigid as she made an effort to still it and hopefully not draw attention to it. "Whether passage of time or travel to places not well-known; Always remember, wherever you go; never do you walk alone." She paused for a moment as she finished speaking. It was a well known poem from where she came from, something like a code one Ronin spoke to another.

That was all she offered for the time being, waiting for her tea to be delivered. It would not be too much longer for it to arrive, and Kaya placed a coin in the man's hand in return for the hot cup. Her head turned and she studied the left over seating, before moving over to find a seat where she would be able to place the hot mug down on the table and be able to reach it. "Take care with your greeting. Those who taught it to you were not careful." She picked up her tea, sniffing at it to detect its scent, rather than explaining her admonishment right away. A small sip was taken before she set it back on the table.

Her hands reached to her chin, untying the strap that kept her hat on before she took it off. She set it down on the table off to the side, letting him see her cat-like eyes and ears as well. Since her tail had already swished, she might as well see how he reacted for herself.

An itch within his memories upon hearing the tall woman’s response, eyes upon her mysterious face; unaware of the feline tail swaying just beneath her hips. The words sounded lovely, somewhat familiar but lost in the long years of the past. Hearing it, his attempts at remembering a respectful greeting seemed to have been rewarded; or at the very least not seen as an immense insult. His head nodded, another sip taking while he observed her movements. Listening to the sound of her voice as she suggested caution.

A few moments passed with no continued talk, so instead he parted his lips to ask the question she seemed to be waiting for. Had all of the people been like this, back when he’d visited as a boy just becoming a man? “I have faith and respect for those who taught me, if I have errored than the fault lays upon myself and the cruel master of time. For it has been three decades since I had last been to your beautiful homeland, enjoying its serene landscapes and trying to learn of it’s people. If it has been insulting or misused, my humblest apologies.”

Respectful and warm, just like the smile upon his lips and light in his eyes as he looked at her. Watching as she discarded her hat, finally gaining a view of her features. The ears atop her head caused them to rise up at the odd sight, but they lowered one more to stare into her own gaze. Never one wavering with a hint of disgust or surprise. “Would you give me the honors of being refreshed upon the ways to greet one from your homeland? Perhaps sharing a meal the fine man’s wife has made, while we talk of our own cultures and travels. It is a rare chance to relearn what one has forgotten, and perhaps I might be of some aid to you with your travels in the empire. Even the greatest swordsmen, can be felled when surrounded by those they make their enemies. And there are some within these lands that might view you as an exotic slave to be taken, if vulnerable to the ways of customs, or grow insulted and make your journeys difficult.”

Her eyes studied him for a few more moments. Three decades since he had been there, nearly as long as she had been alive. She supposed it made for an acceptable excuse, though she did not say as such. "You were taught to greet Lords and Ladies." She stated as much as asked, as she looked back to her tea and took another slow sip of it. "Your words would do them honor. Yet for those who are not they, your words tell another tale. They invite my kin, long dead, to return and haunt us both. Is this what you wish?" Whether she was being serious or not was hard to tell, as there was no hint of a smile on her lips.

"I find the food here strange, but not inedible. A plate could be supped, if offered true." Another pause as she shifted on her seat, her hand returning to rest against the haft of her katana. "Are slavers so rampant in this place as to merit a warning to a stranger? I will then remain on my guard. Let them come for me, and they will fall on my blade. And if not, then death will find me before I am made a slave." Again her eyes returning to him, searching. Seeking his reaction to her speaking of killing slavers, perhaps as a test to see if he himself was one.

"Long though my travels have been, I find many places wanting. Tell me, then. What makes this land so great that you would wish to call it home? Regale me, if you offer truly, of tales of this land. I would hear them." Her head gave a simple nod, her ears perking as if to listen.

Lords and ladies greeting, with her own response to his greetings…. She wasn’t of the peasantry. It was rare for those of lower class to be knowledgeable and confident of such knowledge on them… A noble lady herself? Or perhaps a member of one’s court. None the less, it was reassuring to hear that his greeting was not entirely butchered; more misused. His teacup rose towards her in silent thanks, while her words of warning were remembered. “I wish for our enjoyable travels and their peaceful rest. And if they so choose to haunt, let it be upon me for my ignorance while your feet are graced by whatever boons they deem to bless you with.” The tall man finished, taking a sip of his tea and turning his chair. Moving it to face the woman more properly instead of the flickering flame, since she seemed amenable to conversation.

“Slavery is a part of the empire, and various others. There are some expected decorums in who could be made one within the lands, however it can be difficult to prove exactly where one hails from to see if they were enslaved improperly. Bandits might attempt to sell off people they capture if they know of a slaver in the area, or within the seedier ports of the cities some might go missing. For one of grace and stance as yourself, an exotic beauty in the eyes of many, lesser men might seek to break what little honor they might have to lay claim.”

“Although the confidence in your voice and the grip of your blade would persuade the more wise to consider otherwise. If the worst should occur, and you are felled by poison rather than steel. You could attempt to lay claim to being worthy of selling to House Osiris; your land and people were kind to me in my youth along with the rest of my family. It’d be but a drop from the well of my gratitude for the experience that was shared there.”

“Now, despite the manner which my countrymen treat eachother and others with slavery, It is still my home; or atleast my household is. The empire is not the only one which has a strong slavery presence, and it’s nobility have mostly grown hedonistic and fat from the sweat and blood of the peasantry…. But if I were to judge a home or nation purely off of those whom have come to rule through fists of steel and bloodied blades; than there are few who’d stand the test. For me, I believe most commonfolk are decent of nature no matter where one goes across the nations. With only customs and mannerisms changing. And the empire’s appeal is of it’s Legions.”

“So long as an imperial citizen has the drive to better their body, they are given the ability to earn a living and food. If they excel become a Centurion, a minor title and the ability to truly build a better foundation for their children and family to come. If one is of true greatness than perhaps ascend to a nobility itself; as our house’s founder had. Despite being born as the unwanted daughter of a whore…..So long as one takes the time to look, and converse with the people of a land they can find many reasons as to why to call it home beyond merely being born there… and likewise one could find many reasons why it should not. No home is perfect, it is up to those living within it to try to build upon it little by little.”

Her eyes shifted to the chair as it was turned to face her, and she offered a smile for the well wishes. "They can haunt you instead of me, this is agreeable." That smile had faded and her face was once again impassive, making it difficult to determine if she was serious once more. The tea was brought up for some slow sips as he started speaking again, much morning winded this time. She listened politely, her attention only waning at the mention of poison being used to subdue her.

That had her eyes dropping down towards the tea for a few moments, and then raising right back up to him when he spoke of her trying to be sold to what was presumably his house if she was taken as a slave. That sounded a little too contrived to her that a perfect stranger would try to help her so if she got herself sold to him. She did not know him, and the notion of trusting him was something she would scoff at. Only internally, not giving any outward sign.

She waited until he finished speaking to comment on any of it herself. He seemed to enjoy the sound of his own voice, but Kaya was not nearly so long winded. She tended to speak her mind in a carefully thought out manner that would use fewer words but still get her point across clearly. "This country does not sound like a place I would wish to call home. As you speak of it, there is little honor among many of its people. Making slaves by trickery and deception. Trusting in their number of soldiers rather than their quality. This way leads to countless deaths, when your sole source of victory is overwhelming with overly numerous inferiors."

It was perhaps a little more harsh than she meant it to be, but the way he spoke of it made it sound like a dark, backwards country. She did not truly have much room to speak on that with her own home currently being in open war, but she personally had not taken part in that. A moment of pause to collect her thoughts, and she spoke again. "Your words name yourself a noble. This is a strange place to find one." Her hand gave a slight indication of the meager inn they currently found themselves in.

Perhaps he had not phrase things right, as Aidoneous listened to the once smiling woman’s retort…. Within any of the seedier cities or towns, no matter the nation, the docks were not always the safest place to be during the night; more so as a beautiful woman. It was nothing unique to the empire…. Just as the threats of banditry or slavery were not; the same issues plagued Cathwa and others…. Perhaps she was rather blessed, growing up within a small estate that managed to avoid the worst of their own war to not gain knowledge of such things that surely were apart of their realm and others.

So he listened carefully, watching her to observe her and ponder his own words until she spoke once again. His eyes following the gesture of her hand, looking around himself with a slight hum. “Hm. I find it rather nice myself… It feels closer, more warm than a large establishment. The larger ones do have their places, but they feel more like a business, not a home.” He responded thoughtfully, eyes drawing back to her own.

“My household is newer, by the standards of the empire. Unlike others that might have been forged from an existing household, branching off into different ones. It was founded by a peasant girl that earned the right of nobility from her service within the Legions. So we have a custom of taking our youth out into the world while they are young, until they grow up. Teaching them to become soldiers and exposing them to the nations of the world; along with it’s people. Once a member serves their time in the legions, they are free to do as they desire with their lives. My niece is out playing with the other children, enjoying the weather, before it is time for us to continue her education. I expect to have her visit your homeland just shy of a decade from now, when she is old enough to wield a sword incase the war has yet to end and she needs to defend herself.”

“But the same could be inquired about you as well. Its rare for most people to know of the formal greetings of their nobility, as you were so kind to educate me further about. My memory about your culture is not what it used to be; do they often send their children off to foreign lands while at war? I do not recall seeing many of your nation who were not merchants outside of your borders.”

He spoke more of strange customs of his homeland, all of it strange to her. Along with a brief lesson on how their nobility worked, or at least how he had come by his. Perhaps this place was not so bad, if you could pull yourself up through the ranks through military service, and presumably being skilled at it. She would not take that road herself, more because nobility was no longer something that matters to her.

Her thoughts refocused on him as he asked a question of her. "No, our young are kept near at home, where they can be protected, or useful, depending. Young lords are kept especially well safe, as they are naturally the most vulnerable. Young children of samurai must be trained. Young ones lower than that must learn the trade of their family." She spoke this easily, and though it were a natural thing to simply follow in the exact footsteps of your forebears.

"I am not a noble, myself." She answered then, what was perhaps not a question but had been spoken as if it was. "I served a Lord. He owned much farmland, but was of minor import in terms of the governance of our nation." She did not go in to any further detail about him, instead speaking of something else as if to aim the conversation away.

"You have few enemies, to let your niece play with other children. Unless perhaps she is under guard, and that is why you have none in here?" Her eyes cast about as if to note the lack of guards. Perhaps deciding it was too late anyways if it were poisoned, she finally took another drink of her tea.

Her lord owned land. Her lord was of minor importance. Her lord, whoever it was, no longer drew breath or had lost what power he had. Perhaps her family served her lords, and wit h his decline some old contract between the two households had been shattered. Freeing her to travel as she desired? Before his lips could pat to inquire what had brought her so far from home, with no lord to be running errands for. Her questions cut him off, causing his gaze to glance towards the window while he considered the answer to give.

“I would not consider us as having few enemies… It is more the enemies we have; fight us using politics and trade. Rather than assassinations or violence. None of the established houses in the empire enjoy commoners being raised to nobility, newly forged houses must either submit and enter the protection of greater ones or be destroyed one way or another. We were lucky, in that our Founder had enough strength to make things difficult; and no regard for ensuring the house’s survival…”

Brutal destruction was what he’d heard the founder had done, an assassin slayed her child? She’d track it down, rip the knowledge of who done it from their mind and keep following the trail back to the household responsible. Then leave them with only the cradles and beds of youth empty, for one of her she’d take a dozen of others. Every insult publicly she’d duel and take limbs. Only allowed freedom from the pride of nobles, not wishing to admit a commoner had done such things and the attempts to exploit her antics by others.

“It didn’t take the greater houses long to realize, provoking her into a suicidal rampage would leave themselves open to being exploited by their own enemies. Must like how predators in the wild can be scared off from prey, because they’d risk injuring themselves too much. So my niece has some magical enchantments, to ensure she doesn’t fall victim to childish antics and a means to be tracked if a commoner sought her for some strange reason. And if banditry sets upon us, it is nothing which I can not handle. We are fortunate to have little to fear beyond what might come forth from the mysts.” His hand tapped lightly upon his sword’s pommel for emphasis.

“How about yourself my dear? I am aware of the troubles of your homeland. It can be difficult to leave it for any reason; risking the dangers of foreign lands. Why is it that you have left, wishing to risk the unknown? I do not believe that you are fleeing from something, else your attire would have been the first to change.”

"Perhaps I was too quick to judge this land. We may not have bandits who might try to enslave you where I come from, but assassins are commonplace. Those who lead our country are quick to employ them, and so they are numerous. You must always be wary of them coming to kill in the night." She certainly preferred the thoughts of relatively untrained bandits coming for her over the highly trained ninja of her homeland.

She offered a smile and a nod, before taking another sip of her tea. "It is good she is protected then, and yourself as well." She left it at that, not wanting to belabour the point. His next words had her thinking anyways, with a slow look down towards her attire. That was actually a good point he made, and strangely one she had not considered. It made a lot of sense now as the thought took hold. Perhaps she should consider finding clothing that would fit in more with the locals. She did not know what kind of local women wore swords though. And with her katana and cat-like body, she wasn't sure it would help that much anyways.

She looked back up at him then, a thoughtful look in her eyes. "I do not flee my home, it is simply not for me anymore." It was a little cryptic, but not something she would openly share with someone she had just met. "I have nothing against changing my attire, the thought had simply not occurred to me. As it happens even if it had, I have nothing to change in to. I do not think walking around naked but for a sword at my hip would have the desired effect of taking eyes off of me." A low chuckle left her lips at the thought of how silly it would look, to see someone walking through a city with just a sword. That would definitely attract those bandits he had mentioned.

A moment's pause as she thought again, before simply deciding to ask him. "What do the warrior women of your country wear?"

Aidoneous’s green gaze slipped over the woman’s form once more, lips pursued at her question as he rose from his chair. Picking up his sword and setting his drink down at the table she sat at. “Give me one moment, mi’lady. I shall be back with some aids.” With that, Aidoneous slipped away to his room. Rummaging about to retrieved the two sacks containing what remind of his destroyed armor before returning to the traveler. Sitting down across from her and placing the sacks down beside the table. Beginning to withdraw their contains onto the table to display them.

What had once been an entire suit of plate armor, crafted from the finest steel and adorned with mystical runes…. Were now more resembling a family heirloom passed down from the corpse of one soldier to the next, without ever bothering to be repaired. The majority of the breastplate’s front had been rusted away; leaving a massive segment missing from the abdominal region all the way up until only one breast area remained. Even that held small cuts clean through the metal and brownish red rust spotting it’s surface; heaviest upon the area where it’d been entirely rusted away.

Its back held massive clawmarks, as if fingers hand torn through it like nails through sand. The leggings similarly held massive amounts of missing pieces due to rust around the waist , leaving it whole unsupported if not for the greaves that’d have been worn. The rest of the suit was a mess of dents, as if it’d been left out while it was hailing rocks, or slices as if it had been cut through like paper.

“The best defense is a suit of plate armor. Which is what these were only a few days prior. Your entire body is encased in steel plating that folds and moves with you, keeping one rather agile in the middle of combat. Only way to get through it is with unnatural strength, hammers, hammers with spikes, or to aim for the joints. Even then, you wear a thin layer of gambeson and mail underneath to help protect them. A dozen bandits wouldn’t be able to bring me down if I used just my natural strength alone with this, so long as they were not deserters of an army with some discipline in them. It can be costly however; if you are a skilled fighter some might be willing to be a patron in return for services.”

“At the very least, if you make your way to a city with decent armorsmith, get yourself a breastplate. Protect your vitals, then get some for your forearms, thighs, and helmet. That shall cost less, but still offer a large amount of protection that one can easily put on themselves. After that, gambeson is a staple for any. Its layers of cloth that will help stop arrows from penetrating as deep, cuts, thrusts, and so on. You’d be surprised what a difference it can make. Mail armor, which are tiny rings of metal woven together, is far too time consuming and difficult to repair for my tastes. Leather armor is only useful if taken from a mystbeast of great hide, otherwise… you might as well be wearing nothing at all.”

His finger would tap lightly on the rusted remnants of the breastplate. “I’m heading towards the capital myself, to get a new pair forged. That is a best place to find a patron to sponsor you and take you into their services if you want a way to pay for a set but lack the coin yourself. Strong warriors are always needed, and i’m sure many women of noble and wealth merchants would rather a woman be their guard than a man. If not, breastplate and some armor plating on the more important areas, then gambison underneath. Ignore leathers unless you test it to ensure it is from a good quality mystcreature that will actually protect you, don’t bother with mail. Its too heavy and maintenance if it gets damaged. Beyond that, clothing is essentially trousers and a shirt from what i’ve seen of female soldiers. With perhaps a vest. Loose enough to hide a dagger, but still able to fight in.”

She gave a simple nod as he left, finishing her cup of tea and setting it neatly down on the table in the interim. Her hands folded in to her lap as she waited, eyes drawn to the numerous sacks he returned with. He started placing them on the table as he explained them, and gave suggestions on what she should get herself. She couldn't help but notice that it all looked and sounded terribly heavy. As he finished she moved to stand, her hand pulling her katana free of her belt. It remained sheathed, obviously not a threat as she placed it almost reverently down on the table.

"That does sound like good protection, but also quite heavy. Perhaps I should look in to this mystbeast hide leather armor. It would not be too different from what I have now, except perhaps in style." Her hand indicated the leather armor she was wearing. "This is more meant for fluidity of motions than straight protection, of course. Where I come from, wearing that much metal would make you too slow to catch a ninja. Their target would not be me, so I needed to be able to keep up with them."

She shifted a leg up to set a foot on the seat she had just vacated, sliding through the side slit of her leather armor. Her leg was mostly bare, only a few bands of cloth tied to it here and there. It was well defined, from years of training. She did not seem to notice the open posture, or how much of her leg was showing, as she left it resting there as she continued. "If I were to give up my mobility for the heavy protection of all that metal, I would need to re-learn much of how i fight, and I would not be useful to anyone."

She studied his armor on the table again, eyes looking over the rust. "You wore this but a few days ago? Wearing armor that is so rusted does not seem like it would be great protection." She let out a low thoughtful sound, her hand reaching up to undo one shoulder of her leather armor. She pulled it out, showing some thin metal plates that were affixed to the inside of it, and an eyeful of cleavage if he was looking. "I do have these over vitals. They may not stop much, as they are more for keeping arrows from striking my vitals."

She paused there for a moment as she considered, and then her head nodded. "Perhaps I will go to this capital and see if I might buy some new leather armor that will fit in more. I will have to get it specially made to accommodate, I am certain that will make it cost more." Her tail gave a swish behind her, as if to indicate what the special modification was for.

If his equipment had been in good condition, than he’d have been glad to have shown her that plate was not as horrid as it might sound. After all, a soldier that could hardly move was of little use. But for the time being he watched and listened, taking in what her concerns were. Eyes studying the leather armor gestured upon, and drawn to the shapely leg being put on display. Toned, powerful thighs, eyes studying them just as her’s studied his gear.

As wonderful of a display as it was, he was aware of the dangers a cut could be upon that area should it hit an artery. But her role in the north was that of intercepting assassins, perhaps it was more akin to a cat stalking a cat… which the noise of plate would risk. But that was up north, no longer must she fend of stalkers in the night.

His eyes were still wondering along her flesh when her voice drew his gaze back towards his rusted remnants. Who’d wear armor that had the majority of it’s breastplate missing from rust? Still he continued to listen and watch, gaze following to take in the display of plates beneath the leather’ and of the ample cleavage the woman confidently showcased… Thighs and now this, from a stoic lady?

His lips smiled warmly at her as he reached out, picking up a piece of his nearly shredded armor. “A few days ago, and this set would have been in wonderful condition… But its lucky to get away with only destroyed armor, when dealing with a nest of vampires. They are all slain now, so there are no worries to be had from them in your travels. But if I may request, do look into incorporating at least a breastplate into your attire; if you plan on doing actual combat attempt at a full suit of plate. Have the smiths display their products. Mystleather of good quality can be costly, sometimes more than some plate depending on the creature and boons.”

“For now, it sounds as if you have nothing to protect beyond your own stunning visage, and the confidant warrior’s life within it. Plate armor has two primary drawbacks, that are grotesquely overwhelmed by their benefits. Heat.. If you are down south, in the midst of a hot summer day and fighting a long battle. The heat will be getting to you sooner. Then the breathing if you are forced to wear a helmet throughout it all. The empire is skilled at warfare and fighting, plate armor these days are not like the older days. I could still do all the same exercises in mine as I could without a shred of clothing upon me, and the weight is of no true issue. It hangs about the body, not quite dragging as so many think. Best thought of as trying to carry a sack out with one arm, upon one’s back, and then trying it over the shoulder. It is a few pounds spread throughout one’s limbs, but for that swords do not cut and arrows do not find their mark.”

“Your tail could perhaps have a tube around your waist built? Where it is inserted. Or a sort of leather sheath down one’s leg? I am not quite certain how flexible it is, but skilled armorsmiths should be able to tend to your needs… You do possess a healthy amount of coin, do you not? There are those who’d seek to take advantage of people for their own gain, more so one who doesn’t understand the local customs, values of services or the like. Before you agree to any services or jobs, best to ask around and see what else is being offered, for how much, and the like.”
