How nice it is waking up in a warm bed. Such a luxury Allison Solis was missing dearly. While she knew for a fact she hadn't slept in a bed in a few weeks, she couldn't remember how long it's been since that night she last spent in a bed. The redhead's memory had been off as of late and she couldn't seem to recall certain memories. Because of it, she'd been keeping a diary. As nice as that sounded, it was still strange to her when she opened up the beginning parts of the journal and read things -in her own handwriting mind you- that she couldn't remember writing down. She felt like everything lately was a lie, and not even her own mind was safe. It was another reason -one of many- that the redhead woman could not seem to get a good night's sleep. Last night however, was a wonderful exception.
Having found a temple far West of the Empire, Allison was met with a very strange host. A woman by the name of Madena Cobrus was in charge of the run down military fort and was not too thrilled about having an unwanted guest. She attacked the unsuspecting traveler but by the grace of the Myst spared her, for reasons unknown. The decision met them both with beneficial rewards, giving Allison someone to take care of, and Madena someone to keep her company. Loving her for her warmth, Madena seemed to follow Allison around like a moth to flame, or in this case, a snake to heat. Madena was born with a very special trait, in that she not only could turn herself into a reptilian serpent, but she was one herself. With snakes for hair and a forked tongue, the shapeshifting woman at first scared poor Allison, but soon enough the redhead learned to trust her. So much so, they were now sleeping in the same bed. As sisters, so to speak.
Allison remembered how cold Madena had been that night and she used her gifts to increase her own body heat so she could keep them both warm throughout the night. The sheets and the warmth of the fireplace did the rest. It was strange, in a way, having this girl cling to her like she was an elder sister (or mother in some sense) but it made Allison feel needed and wanted. Somehow, that was something she didn't know she needed. And when morning came, she felt the same small arm holding her around her torso as if begging her not to get up. With a slight chuckle she stretched, hoping to wake the girl up so she'd release her.
"Madena..." she spoke softly so as not to startle her. "It's time to wake uhh-up."
